Summer wasn’t complete without a trip to the LPGA practice round. This year the practice round was Tuesday, and I made a full day of it. Since the weather was much nicer than last year (no rain), I was able to see a ton of the major players go through. A thousand photos later, I had had enough.
And what day would be complete without photographs of the Venus transit. Our once in a lifetime chance to see Venus transit the sun. I tried to go up to the lake and catch it at sunset, but the clouds interfered. Still fun though, and I caught the transit at home on the patio as well.
I returned to the LPGA to take some photos and see the lady pros. The weather forecast was great all week, but when the day came, it was downright rainy and wet most of the day. I got some neat photos though and managed not to destroy any camera equipment. There were a lot of really good golfers there, and I got to see a lot of the famous names too. Here are some photos, and there are more in my flick gallery.
I took the day off last week to go to the LPGA Championship practice round and use my camera to see what kind of photos I could get of the golfers. I took a lot of photos, some came out really good. Since this year the tournament was a major, a lot of the older golfers came out. It was neat to see the likes of nancy Lopez, Pat Hurst, Julie Inkster, and Se Ri Pak, playing with Morgan Pressel, Paula Creamer, and Michelle Wie. I took a ton of photos, and most of the nicer ones are posted in my flickr gallery. Here’s a few here too.
